Job Title: Senior AWS Developer

Position Overview
Our Client is seeking a Senior AWS Developer to support Project Goshawk (Everest), a major enterprise modernization initiative involving the migration of a legacy document repository into a custom-built internal document management platform.
The successful candidate will work on cloud-native development initiatives using AWS and Python to support document ingestion, workflow automation, enterprise integrations, and document migration activities.
This role is focused on building scalable AWS solutions rather than administering or configuring a commercial ECM platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain AWS-based applications supporting document migration initiatives.
  • Develop Python services supporting enterprise workflow automation.
  • Build and maintain event-driven solutions using AWS services.
  • Develop integrations between document repositories and enterprise applications.
  • Support migration of content from legacy document management solutions into the internal platform.
  • Develop APIs and services supporting document ingestion and retrieval.
  • Work closely with Solution Analysts and business stakeholders to refine technical requirements.
  • Support testing, deployment, and production stabilization activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application, integration, and workflow issues.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and development standards.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of AWS development experience.
  • 5+ years of Python development experience.
  • Experience working with AWS Lambda.
  • Experience working with AWS Step Functions.
  • Experience integrating applications with relational or enterprise databases.
  • Experience developing workflow automation solutions.
  • Experience with API development and enterprise integrations.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting document migration initiatives.
  • Experience with document management platforms or repositories.
  • Experience within Property & Casualty insurance organizations.
  • Experience with enterprise modernization programs.
  • Experience utilizing GitHub Copilot or other AI-assisted development tools.
  • Experience working with event-driven architectures.
  • Experience building microservice-based solutions.

 

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$90.00 and CA$100.00
