Job Title: Marketing Operations Manager IV
Location: Toronto, ON
Estimated Duration: 12 Months

Role Overview
Our Client is seeking a technically hands-on MarTech Operations Lead to own and optimize the marketing technology platforms, data workflows, and operational processes that power TurboTax Growth Marketing. This role is the systems and operations backbone across four connected domains.
Scope: CRM Operations 50%  |  Pricing Operations 20%  |  Data Onboarding & Activation 20%  |  Other MarTech Projects 10%
The common thread is platform reliability, data quality, governance, and automation — ensuring customer, behavioural, and pricing data moves accurately across systems so growth marketers can segment, personalize, price, test, and launch efficiently without manual workarounds.
You will serve as the in-platform SME across CRM, CDP, pricing systems, and connected tools, and as a key bridge between Marketing, Data Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, Pricing, and Finance. The role suits someone equally comfortable debugging a failed sync, configuring an audience, editing a JSON schema, designing an automated intake workflow, and translating technical requirements for non-technical partners.
Key Responsibilities
CRM Operations — 50%

  • Platform administration & SME: Serve as the primary in-platform SME for Braze and connected CRM tools, managing platform configuration, segmentation, data feeds, system integrations, user access provisioning, and non-campaign technical requests.
  • Audience building & troubleshooting: Build, QA, and troubleshoot complex audience segments across Braze and AEP, including behavioural and clickstream data, tracing discrepancies back to source data or sync timing.
  • Integrations & data flows: Own integrations across CRM, customer data, communications, and related marketing platforms, diagnosing cross-platform syncing, data-quality, and integration errors.
  • Personalization implementation: Own the technical setup enabling cross-channel lifecycle personalization across landing pages, returning-customer product experiences, and other customer touchpoints, and support configuration and adoption of AI-enabled capabilities within Braze and connected customer data platforms.
  • Data integrity & platform health: Maintain platform health, documentation, and standardized cross-functional customer-data definitions; monitor and report on audience accuracy, sync status, integration errors, data hygiene, and system performance.
  • Cross-functional partnership: Partner with Lifecycle Marketing, Data Science, Analytics, and Engineering to resolve technical blockers, support data privacy and consent-management requirements within CRM systems, and roll out new capabilities.
  • Potential future scope: End-to-end campaign execution and QA across email, push, and SMS, including tracking configuration and compliance validation.

Pricing Operations — 20%

  • Pricing source of truth: Support  the governed tax-year product and pricing catalog, ensuring approvals and validation feed price points dynamically into downstream price lists rather than requiring manual re-entry.
  • Automation & intake: Design and scale self-service intake and workflow automation using Slack-based tooling, bulk uploads, automated notifications, scheduling, and routing of experiment requirements to impacted teams.
  • Release & governance: Manage UAT, test-case development, documentation, and staged releases against seasonal, business-critical deadlines, including tax-season launch cutoffs.
  • Controls & compliance: Ensure pricing workflows maintain appropriate auditability, role-based access, and SOX-related controls.

Data Onboarding & Activation — 20%

  • CDP operations: Own day-to-day operations of the customer data platform, including customer data onboarding, data quality assurance, and audience activation through seamless integration with paid and owned marketing platforms.
  • Attribute management: Own the end-to-end request, onboarding, and quality-assurance process for new data attributes entering the CDP.
  • Audience segmentation & activation: Collaborate, build, and manage high-performing audience segments within the CDP, ensuring they are accurately shared and optimized for ad targeting across CRM, digital paid media, affiliates, and partner channels.
  • Data quality & integrity: Proactively monitor and troubleshoot data-quality, audience match-rate, and sync issues across connected platforms to maintain the highest level of data integrity.
  • Cross-functional partnership: Collaborate closely with go-to-market teams, data engineers, and analytics specialists to understand data needs, enhance segmentation capabilities, and support strategic initiatives.

Other MarTech Projects — 10%

  • System enhancements: Lead or support strategic MarTech enhancements, integrations, workflow automation, AI-enabled capabilities, and evaluation of emerging technologies.
  • Technical solutioning: Translate complex growth business requirements into scalable, reliable technical solutions and coordinate implementation across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Process simplification: Identify opportunities to eliminate manual work, reduce reliance on spreadsheets, improve platform reliability, and increase marketing effectiveness.

Skills & Qualifications
Required

  • Experience: 4–6 years in CRM operations, MarTech, marketing data, business systems, or technical program management in a hands-on, platform-focused role.
  • CRM Marketing Platforms: 2+ years of hands-on experience, preferably Braze (but can be others), including platform configuration, complex segmentation, data feeds, webhooks, personalization enablement, and troubleshooting.
  • CDP: Hands-on expertise managing and activating data within a customer data platform, preferably Adobe Experience Platform, including data onboarding, audience strategy and segmentation, and behavioural/clickstream activation.
  • Technical skills: Strong SQL and Excel; direct experience reading and editing JSON schemas; working knowledge of APIs, webhooks, REST-based integrations, and data feeds, with the ability to troubleshoot data flow between connected systems.
  • Data governance & QA: Proven track record in data validation and quality assurance across multiple platforms including CDPs and digital buying platforms, match-rate monitoring, root-cause analysis, and applying data privacy and consent-management best practices to CRM and marketing systems.
  • Marketing ecosystem fluency: Strong understanding of how data flows through the marketing ecosystem and its impact on segmentation, personalization, campaign orchestration, and marketing performance.
  • Process & automation: Demonstrated experience designing, operating, or improving governed automated workflows that replace manual or spreadsheet-based processes, including the change management required to drive adoption.
  • Execution & communication: Excellent project management, stakeholder management, and attention to detail; clear written and verbal communication with non-technical partners; a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity and competing priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with digital ad buying platforms such as Google Ads, DV360, Meta, or programmatic networks.
  • Background in pricing, promotions, vouchers, or experimentation within a subscription or consumer software environment.
  • Familiarity with SOX compliance, financial controls, or audit-governed workflows.
  • Experience with Slack-based workflow automation, experimentation platforms, internal tooling, or calendar and notification integrations.
  • Experience supporting multi-market or international platform expansion (e.g., US to Canada, partner/FI channels).
  • Academic or professional background in analytics, business systems engineering, strategy, or economics, and a keen interest in emerging marketing technologies.
