Position Overview
A major Canadian financial institution is seeking an experienced AI Solution Architect to support enterprise-wide AI and technology transformation initiatives. This role will focus on designing scalable, secure, and compliant solution architectures for strategic programs involving AI platforms, intelligent automation, cloud technologies, and enterprise data solutions.
The successful candidate will work closely with business leaders, engineering teams, infrastructure groups, cybersecurity, and governance stakeholders to define architecture standards, evaluate AI-enabled technologies, and guide solutions through enterprise architecture review and approval processes.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on architect with strong cloud expertise and experience navigating complex enterprise banking environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Define and design end-to-end solution architectures for enterprise AI and technology initiatives, including AI tool evaluations, intelligent platforms, and data-driven solutions.
- Collaborate with business, technology, infrastructure, security, and governance stakeholders to align architecture designs with enterprise standards and strategic objectives.
- Lead architecture discussions and documentation efforts for cloud, SaaS, hybrid, and on-premise solutions.
- Support architecture governance processes and obtain approvals through enterprise architecture and risk review committees.
- Evaluate and integrate vendor SaaS platforms with existing enterprise infrastructure and security frameworks.
- Ensure solutions meet enterprise requirements related to scalability, resiliency, security, compliance, and operational supportability.
- Partner with engineering and delivery teams to provide technical guidance throughout implementation lifecycles.
- Contribute to enterprise architecture best practices, standards, and reusable solution patterns for AI and emerging technologies.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, and integration considerations across multiple platforms and business units.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, or related technical leadership roles.
- Strong experience designing and implementing enterprise technology solutions within large, complex organizations.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms including Azure and AWS.
- Experience supporting cloud-enabled SaaS, hybrid, and on-premise environments.
- Proven experience integrating third-party vendor SaaS solutions into enterprise infrastructure ecosystems.
- Strong understanding of architecture governance, security, risk, and compliance processes within regulated environments.
- Experience producing architecture documentation, diagrams, and technical solution designs for governance review.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to work across both technical and non-technical teams.
- Strong understanding of AI, intelligent automation, data platforms, and emerging technology ecosystems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working within a major Canadian bank or large financial institution.
- Prior exposure to enterprise architecture governance committees and approval frameworks.
- Experience supporting AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics initiatives.
- Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns, APIs, microservices, and modern cloud-native architectures.
- Relevant cloud or architecture certifications (Azure, AWS, TOGAF, etc.) are considered an asset.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$100.00 and CA$110.00
