Job Title: Analyst – Engineering Change Instruction Coordination
Location: Cambridge, ON
Estimated Duration: 3 months
As an Analyst – Engineering Change Instruction (ECI) Coordination, you will be responsible to understand and coordinate the implementation of all engineering changes related to component parts for one of TMMC’s vehicles. The role involves working with members of TMMC Quality Control, Manufacturing, and Production Control departments and suppliers to ensure that each change to the vehicle is successful.
What you’ll be doing
- Review and interpret Engineering Change Instructions (ECI) for vehicle component parts
- Maintain Toyota Bill of Material (BOM) system, which drives vehicle part ordering quantities
- Perform audits to ensure accuracy of Bill of Materials and resulting Necessary Quantity Calculation
- Coordinate implementation of engineering changes with external (suppliers) and internal stakeholders, ensuring no negative impact.
- Facilitate weekly cross-functional meetings for engineering change preparation and problem-solving discussions
Desired Skills and Experiences
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Mathematics, Engineering, or Science
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of relevant experience preferred, but not required
- Toyota Production System (TPS): Willingness to learn and apply TPS principles.
- Computer Skills: Strong MS Office skills (Advanced Excel). Enthusiasm to learn new systems.
- Detail-oriented: high numerical accuracy and attention to detail is critical
- Problem-Solving: Capability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions.
- Self-Starter: Strong organizational abilities with effective prioritization and multi-tasking.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Teamwork: Works well in a team environment with the ability to adapt to change
- Self-Motivation: Strong ability to complete tasks independently
- Flexibility: Must be flexible to work in Cambridge and/or Woodstock plant locations
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$30.00 and CA$33.00
