We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst to join our Information Technology Application Support team. You will be providing second level technical application support for various business applications. The successful candidate will play an integral role by using an in-depth understanding of business processes and technology to find creative solutions. The role requires concise communication, inquisitiveness, and a passion for providing great customer service to end users. What you’ll be working on:
- Providing application support for our critical system ensuring prompt customer support.
- Utilizing ServiceNow for incident, problem and change management.
- Respond to Production Incidents within defined Service Level Agreements that have been escalated from various help desks and business teams.
- Perform detailed technical root cause analysis, referencing existing documentation/Incidents.
- Escalate Incidents accordingly to appropriate teams while corresponding with Business and Developer contacts.
- Create and document technical workarounds for known errors.
- Participate in the operationalization of projects to operations.

What are we looking for:
- At least 3 years of work experience supporting business applications and/or processes; experience with ITIL best practices preferred.
- Some post-secondary or industry equivalent technical training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in SQL (writing update queries) is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, specifically Visio, Excel, SharePoint, One Note/One Drive, and Outlook.
- Experience working in project execution tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Self-driven collaborator, with excellent verbal/written communication and critical thinking skills.
- The successful candidate shall be subject to a Criminal Record and Consumer History background check as a condition of employment.
Nice to have:
- Experience in the Financial Services industry, particularly with Commercial Insurance.
- Experience in end user testing.
- Prior experience with Guidewire product implementations (PolicyCenter, ClaimsCenter etc.)
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$30.00 and CA$45.00
