Associate Product Manager (HVAC)
Location: Markham, ON

Role Summary
The Associate Product Manager supports vendor-led and collaborative product development, ensuring products are compliant, well-documented, tested, and supported after launch. This role fits someone who moves fast, communicates clearly, and can make progress even when details are incomplete.
Responsibilities
Product Development and Compliance

Support Vendor-Led (VPD) and Collaborative (CPD) developments.

Track vendor timelines and tasks in Monday.com (or similar).

Manage compliance and certifications (AHRI, Energy Star, ETL, UL, CSA).

Monitor regulatory changes and flag risks or delays early.
Product Content and Knowledge

Maintain product docs: spec sheets, manuals, submittals, images, exploded parts.

Keep product data accurate in QuickBooks and files organized.

Deliver product training and maintain internal knowledge (Guru cards).

Support Operations with product clear-outs and damaged item review.
After-Sales Quality Control

Run after-sales QC and root cause analysis for recurring issues.

Coordinate corrective actions with vendors and pursue compensation when applicable.

Drive fast resolution to protect customer satisfaction.
Market Research

Track competitor products, pricing, features, and positioning.

Support customer and market research to inform new product opportunities.
Testing and Warranty Coverage

Execute hands-on testing for prototypes and first production runs (function, fit/finish, noise testing).

Write clear evaluation reports and escalate issues to vendors quickly.

Back up warranty/support processes when needed and manage tickets to SLA.
Qualifications
Must-have
-
Experience in product support, vendor coordination, quality, or technical operations

Strong documentation and communication skills

Comfortable managing tasks across timelines and teams (Monday.com or similar)
Nice-to-have

Exposure to compliance/certifications (AHRI, Energy Star, ETL, UL, CSA)

Experience with regulated hardware products (ex: HVAC/electromechanical)

QuickBooks experience
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$75,000 and CA$85,000
