Job Title: Business Analyst (Intermediate)

Location: Calgary, AB (Hybrid)
    
Estimated Duration: 8 Months

Our client is a leader in the responsible development and reliable and safe operation of North American energy infrastructure. They are one of the continent’s largest providers of gas storage and related services.
 
They are currently looking for an Business Analyst (Intermediate) for Calgary, AB location.
 
 
Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Time Entry Audits
  • Conduct weekly and bi-weekly audits for employees on leave, banked time, holiday pay and student time entries.
  • Vacation & Time Management:
  • Manage vacation, personal, and banked time for Canadian and the U.S. (non-union) employees, including international assignees, LTD/STD leaves, students, part-time employees, special leave cases, and other unique situations.
  • Audit and reconcile employee time data in SAP and Workday to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Coordinate with Payroll to ensure correct payouts and deductions for vacation and other time-off scenarios
  • Schedule Management:
  • Update and audit work schedules in SAP and Workday.
  • Verify overtime eligibility and exemption status.
  • Integration Monitoring:
  • Monitor and resolve INT079 and INT070 integration failures.
  • Policy Compliance:
  • Apply union and non-union employment practices appropriately
  • Ensure adherence to time-off codes and vacation payout procedures.
  • Support for Leaders & Employees
  • Assist leaders with time approval issues, especially during reorganizations or system access changes
  • Respond to employee and leader inquiries about vacation, personal time, time entry errors, and system usage
  • Reporting & Documentation:
  • Maintain detailed process documentation and audit logs.
  • Generates reports for internal stakeholders (e.g., vacation balances, time coding summary)
  • Communicate reminders and updates to stakeholders.

 
Core Competencies:
 

  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Proficient in SAP and Workday time tracking modules.
  • Ability to interpret and apply employment practices and union agreements.
  • Effective communicator with strong collaboration skills across Payroll and HRIS teams.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$38.00 and CA$45.00
