Our Client is the global wealth and asset management segment of client Financial Corporation. Client’s's Global Real Estate (“GRE”) platform provides investment solutions globally as part of its comprehensive private markets’ capabilities, offering core, core-plus, and value-add strategies.
MIM’s GRE team leverages its global platform and regional market knowledge to identify opportunities and drive results for its clients. As of December 31, 2025, its sustainably operated platform includes over 97 million square feet of office, industrial, retail, and multifamily assets located across Canada, the United States, and the Asia Pacific region, with approximately $20 billion USD of real estate (550+ managed assets). The team is expanding its capabilities to meet evolving market opportunities, building a strong and diverse global culture as an entrepreneurial investment manager.
Supporting regional offices across Canada, the United States, and Asia Pacific, the Global Real Estate Operations (“GREO”) team is accountable for developing and maintaining global policies and standards, tools and managing global processes and platform reporting, providing operational scale consistency and value for our regional investment teams.

The GREO team is seeking a Data Analyst, to support the global management reporting and analysis team and is generally responsible for combining strong data science capabilities with practical business insight, including development of automated reporting pipelines and advanced analytical models to improve global portfolio insights. Strong communication skills and the ability to transform complex data into actionable insights are essential. This role is part of a small and growing team of professionals who work collaboratively to meet the needs of various internal and external clients, and the Data Analyst will perform a wide range of analytical and administrative tasks relating to both real estate reporting and analysis within and outside the Anaplan environment. The role requires a highly capable and accountable professional who is motivated to strive for success, to be part of a highly engaged team, and to liaise with the key members of the global real estate team and other teams within Client Investment Management. The role reports to the Director, Management Reporting and Analysis and is located in Toronto.
Role Responsibilities:
Collaborating with the GREO team and a wide range of functional groups across Client, the role will involve a variety of analysis and functions including:

Support GRE Anaplan reporting and data quality.

  • Support the migration of existing reports and control documents into Anaplan.
  • Assist with user testing, validation, and parallel run support.
  • Help prepare user guides, training materials, and enablement documentation.
  • Collaborate with the client “Anaplan Centre of Excellence” team to test, maintain, and enhance the Anaplan environment.
  • Assist in the development of automated data pipelines between Anaplan and other enterprise systems (e.g., enterprise data lake, Yardi, VTS, PowerBI).
  • Implement automated data validation checks to improve data quality and reduce manual intervention.

Coordinate and deliver management reporting for the GRE leadership team.

  • Monthly and Quarterly management reporting and fund-level portfolio analytics.
  • Maintain reporting delivery checklists and deadlines for deliverables.
  • Track dependencies and flag risks.
  • Key metrics reporting including leasing, occupancy, and weighted average lease term reporting.
  • Develop dashboards and automated reporting solutions.
  • Work cross-functionally with multiple GRE teams.

Support ad-hoc business initiatives and special projects.

  • Support responses to investor RFPs and questionnaires.
  • Assist with projects, analysis, and new initiatives.

Support business unit data architecture in non-Anaplan environments and new technology initiatives.

  • Maintain data models and metadata standards for GRE datasets, including the Global Asset Inventory and Global Transaction Tracker.
  • Assist in analyzing and enhancing GRE technology applications (like VTS).
  • Review data flows infrastructure and conduct ongoing data quality control.
  • Responsible for the validation of property and portfolio reporting data accuracy by establishing automated data validation rules, reconciliation logic, and exception reporting.
  • Assist in data governance standard alignment.

Contract & Compliance reporting support

  • Assist with maintaining the business unit contract inventory.
  • Support compliance and contract related reporting activities.
  • Assist with developing reporting dashboards and performing ad hoc analysis.

Education and Skills:
Education

  • Undergraduate degree required, MBA an asset.
  • 4+ years of experience in analytics, data science, quantitative research, or financial modelling.
  • Exposure to real estate required.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Anaplan is required, Model Builder designation is an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); advanced Excel preferred.
  • Proficiency in Python libraries.
  • Proficiency in data modelling (DAX, Power Query/M).
  • Strong SQL skills including query optimization.

Analytical Skills
Advanced quantitative modelling and statistical analysis capabilities.

  • Experience applying machine learning.
  • Experience integrating data across multiple systems.
  • Strong financial modelling experience, ideally in real estate or investment management.
  • Comfort dealing with non-standardized CRE datasets.
  • Curiosity to redesign processes, not just analyze existing ones.
  • Ability to balance statistical purity with business practicality.
  • Self-starter who can build frameworks from scratch.

Strong knowledge of data modeling and reporting automation.

  • Experience building dashboards (Anaplan and PowerBI preferred).
  • Familiarity with real estate systems (Yardi, VTS) an asset.
  • Ability to translate complex models into simple terms.
  • Ability to produce story-driven dashboards for senior leadership.
  • Ability to translate complex analyses into clear, actionable insights.
  • Comfort interacting with senior executives.
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to juggle competing priorities and work under pressure to meet demanding response times, all while paying strict attention to detail.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$44.00 and CA$51.00
