POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly seasoned Senior IT Business Analyst 12+ years) with deep expertise in Capital Markets, Financ
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Risk & Capital Markets
- Lead requirements analysis for Market Risk, Interest Rate Risk, Liquidity Risk, and Economic Capital initiatives
- Support risk methodologies including VaR, stress testing, backtesting, PV01/DV01, LCR, NSFR, RWA and ICAAP
- Analyze risk across asset classes: Equities, Fixed Income, and Derivatives (OTC & exchange-traded)
- Partner with business stakeholders to validate models, assumptions, and downstream regulatory impacts
Business Analysis & Documentation
- Elicit, document, and manage complex business requirements and functional specifications
- Produce high-quality BRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and traceability matrices
- Develop detailed data lineage, source-to-target mappings, and end-to-end process flows
- Translate regulatory and risk concepts into clear technical requirements
Data, Technology & Analytics
- Collaborate with data engineering teams using Azure Databricks and Azure Synapse Analytics
- Leverage Azure Data Factory for data orchestration and integration
- Perform advanced SQL analysis and data validation across large risk datasets
- Utilize Python and PySpark for exploratory analysis, reconciliation, and control checks
Agile Delivery & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a senior member of Agile delivery squads, supporting backlog refinement and sprint execution
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior Risk, Finance, and Technology stakeholders
- Demonstrate exceptional communication, organizational, and presentation skills
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Technology, Business, or related discipline
- 12+ years of experience as a Senior Business or IT Business Analyst in Capital Markets or Risk
- Strong domain expertise across Market Risk, Interest Rate Risk, Liquidity Risk, and Economic Capital
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, data mapping, and data flow documentation
- Extensive experience working in Agile delivery environments
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree (MBA, MSc Finance, or equivalent)
- FRM, PRM, or Agile certifications
- Experience supporting regulatory reporting, stress testing, or capital programs
- Strong exposure to Azure-based data platforms and modern analytics ecosystems

- Ability to operate independently in complex, fast-paced environments
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$59.00 and CA$69.00
