About the Opportunity
Our client, a transportation organization, is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support several operational technology initiatives across fleet management, telematics and maintenance. Many of these systems will be upgraded as a part of a modernization initiative.
This role will work closely with Operations and business stakeholders to understand requirements, support implementation activities, evaluate technology solutions, and help drive system adoption across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Operations teams to understand business needs and document requirements.
- Support fleet management initiatives across maintenance, fleet operations, and telematics.
- Participate in the evaluation and implementation of telematics solutions.
- Work with shortlisted vendors and internal stakeholders throughout implementation activities.
- Support maintenance system initiatives and process improvements.
- Assist with HRIS-related activities and integration considerations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders responsible for HR budget oversight and project execution.
- Provide recommendations to support operational efficiency and system utilization.
- Support project go-live activities and post-implementation transition efforts.
Technology Environment
Experience with Fleet and Maintenance software is highly desired.
Required Experience
- Business analysis experience supporting enterprise or operational systems implementations.
- Strong documentation and business process experience is required.
- Strong communication skills to independently support business operations teams, the vendor and internal technology stakeholders
- Business knowledge of the transportation industry is highly desired
- Experience working directly with Operations teams.
- Experience supporting system implementations.
- Experience within one or more of the following areas:
- Fleet management
- Telematics
- Maintenance systems
Preferred Experience
- Transportation, fleet, logistics, or vehicle-based operational environments.
- Experience working with fleet maintenance and telematics platforms.
Work Environment
- Primarily remote.
- Travel required to operational locations as needed.
- Mileage-related considerations may apply based on travel requirements.

During the engagement, success will be measured by the ability to:
- Quickly understand operational requirements.
- Build effective relationships with Operations stakeholders.
- Support implementation activities and vendor coordination.
- Help deliver fleet, maintenance, and telematics initiatives.
- Contribute to a successful project go-live.
Ideal Candidate Profile: A Business Systems Analyst with strong stakeholder engagement skills and hands-on experience supporting fleet operations, telematics, maintenance systems, and business system implementations in an operational environment.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$47.00 and CA$57.00
