Job Summary
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Buyer to lead procurement activities for materials and services, from requisition to delivery. This role involves vendor selection, commercial negotiations, market analysis, and process optimization. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, ensuring quality and efficiency while meeting business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Process internal procurement requests for goods and services.
- Manage competitive sourcing processes, including RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
- Conduct bid evaluations, commercial assessments, and vendor negotiations.
- Coordinate evaluations with project teams and internal stakeholders.
- Oversee supplier pre-qualification and maintain SAP purchase order records.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and authorization controls.
- Act as the single point of contact for purchase order management.
- Provide updates on purchase order status and resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience in SAP Buyer role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or a relevant field.
- 3-10 years of experience in purchasing, contracting, or project management.
- Strong understanding of strategic sourcing, bidding laws, and supplier management.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Knowledge of Incoterms and ethical business practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Commercial negotiation skills.
- Experience with Power BI.
- Background in the oil and gas industry.
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is between $30.00 and $33.00
