Campaign Manager (Associate Manager, Media Activation)

What you’ll do 
As a Campaign Manager at TRM, you’ll own end-to-end oversight of campaign execution, performance, and optimization across multiple ad platforms. You’ll serve as the primary Activation team point of contact for one (or more) sales pods aligned to industry verticals, translating media plans into activation strategies and ensuring flawless delivery.This role focuses on driving strong customer outcomes through active management of campaign performance, strategic optimizations, and consistent collaboration with internal and external partners.  In close partnership with Sales, Accounts, Planning, and Measurement teams, you’ll make data-driven decisions, retail media analytics and clear communication to delivery high performing programs that meet or exceed sales and media performance goals. Your role will also be responsible for identifying opportunities to improve communication and evolve or automate team processes, to maximize time spent on strategic, high-value work.
Key Responsibilities:

Campaign Performance and Budget Management

 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners, to design media programs to deliver on common advertiser objectives, following Triangle Retail Media and platform best practices.
  • Monitor customer objectives throughout each program, ensuring alignment with business goals, category priorities, and TRM best practices.
  • Provide strategic oversight on campaign optimizations across multiple ad platforms.
  • Oversee budget management for campaigns, aiming for optimal ROI while maintaining financial stewardship.
  • Address campaign challenges proactively, offering timely and forward-looking strategies withing your sales pod.

Customer Success and Account Support

  • Serve as an Activation Team lead for one or more sales “pods,” providing weekly updates on holistic campaign performance, optimization opportunities insights.
  • Attend weekly pod stand-ups to organize weekly priorities, looking holistically at upcoming campaign set-ups, live campaigns and upcoming reports. Proactively flag any potential capacity concerns and work collectively to organize priorities.
  • Distill complex technical information about platform set-ups and optimizations into simple language for cross-functional stakeholders and TRM clients.
  • Help to craft client-facing responses to client inquiries or escalations, putting client needs first, but providing important campaign context, benchmarks, or performance insights.

Collaboration with Ad Operations Roles

  • Work closely with the ad operations team that manages hands on keyboard execution for all live campaigns.
  • Provide detailed briefs, performance direction, pacing updates, and optimization requests to ensure accurate and timely execution.
  • Validate changes completed by the ad operations team and ensure alignment with customer goals and TRM standards.
  • Using strong understanding of campaign set-up best practices, validate (or occasionally QA) more technical set-ups and implementations.
  • Act as a resource for other Activation team members, providing peer feedback and guidance.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify key operational/workflow pain points and participate in key projects to improve operational efficiency.
  • As capacity allows, liaise with product development, infusing frontline insights to evolve our advertising solutions. Work on project teams to bring new media solutions into market.
  • As capacity allows, contribute to team projects, such as campaign benchmarks, dashboards or best practices.
  • Engage in continuous learning to stay ahead in the evolving landscape of retail media advertising. 

What you bring 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a field related to Marketing, Advertising, Business Analytics, or equivalent, complemented by 5-7 years in digital advertising campaign management, including social media, display advertising, search, and sponsored products.
  • Experience in multiple ad platforms is a strong asset.
  • Expertise in data analysis, leveraging metrics to justify, optimize and report on campaign outcomes.
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, crucial for cross-functional “pod” collaborations and clear client-facing communications.
  • An independent, driven team member with a strong sense of personal accountability for outcomes
  • A solutions-focused, collaborative mindset. Collaboration with subject matter experts on internal Canadian Tire teams and with external consultants and platform partners is a must.
  • A solid grasp of retail media networks and their strategic importance in the digital advertising domain, including an ability to differentiate TRM’s solutions from other players in the market.
  • The capacity to effectively prioritize and progress multiple projects in a fast-moving environment, while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
  • A proactive growth mindset, with a constant appetite for industry developments and learning novel approaches to campaign enhancement.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$110,000 and CA$120,000
