Position Title: Capital Markets – IT Project Manager

Story Behind the Need
• Business group: GBME – Global Risk Technology supports the GRM department (Global Risk Management) and several trading desks in GBM (Global Banking and Markets) by providing technology tools for market and Counterparty Credit risk monitoring and reporting.
• Project: As part of the Global Risk Technology team, the Delivery Manager is responsible for the management of the set of the IT projects and IT run the bank initiatives to serve and support the Global Market and Counterparty Risk department (GRT), and the Global Banking and Market desks (GBM).
The Delivery Manager ensures that the business needs and outcomes of the IT projects and initiatives are met within scope, time and budget.
The Delivery Manager is expected to have extensive knowledge in the Capital Market domain, specifically in Market risk. Understanding of IT technologies (especially Google Cloud technology), project management, and life cycle development methodologies is essential.
The Delivery Manager must have excellent skills in communication, relationship and general business management

Typical Day in the Role:
• Lead projects and run the bank initiatives including business case preparation, development, testing, release and post release of IT initiatives.
• Formally maintain the management documents to lead the projects and initiatives: Cost, timelines, scope, governance, communication plan, testing plan.
• Work with Business stakeholder (GRM and GBM) and the IT managers in order to establish the Yearly roadmap of technology deliveries. Update the roadmap throughout the year with changes in priorities and the evolving capacity of the technology team.
• Understand, analyze and respond to the internal and external audit and regulatory requests.
• Work with the business stakeholders (GRM, GBM, Middle Office, Back Office Downstreams) and the technology groups to coordinate the projects and run the bank activities from inception to delivery
• Communicate and reach decisions during the different project meetings: Technology roadmap review, Desk prioritization meetings, Steering Committee.
• Manage project participants and relationships ensuring project teams are cohesive and operating to common objectives and priorities.
• Hold meetings and work sessions as necessary to ensure that project management and run the bank initiatives are met i.e. scrum meetings, project planning, risk management, issue management, status meetings
• Maintain the momentum of the Projects and the technology roadmap against background of changing and occasionally conflicting priorities.
• Be a servant leader to the IT Team by solving the outside issues in order to let the project team focus on the delivery of the business value.
• Ongoing communication of project and initiative status, completing the monthly Status Reports and escalating issues to the Operations Sponsor, the Director and VP as required.
• Ensure the documentation and archiving of project activities, deliverables, tools and findings and for use in future projects
Operates independently day to day with direction received only at the most conceptual or abstract level.
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) Proven experience in technology project management (8 years minimum), including projects using Google Cloud (Atlas, Cloud function, Big Query, or DataProc), infrastructure projects, development of new applications, streamlining of front to end processes, etc.
2) Proven experience with delivering projects to Risk departments and/or Capital market clients, specifically Trading desks (5 years minimum).
3) Experience with answering internal and external audit and regulatory requests
4) Excellent communication skills with Risk and Front office traders, and technology experts
5) Experience & skilled with project delivery tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Project, etc.
6) Ability & confidence to produce presentation and workflow views for Senior Management reporting via tools like MS, Powerpoint and Visio
7) Thorough understanding of Change and resource Management
Soft Skills:
• Very organized and methodical. Highly qualified in IT project management
• Ability to create a positive teamwork mindset in a large technology team of 40+ professionals
• Experience in Market Risk Management will be considered a plus
Nice-To-Have Skills:
• Experience with People management in an IT organization will be a plus

– 1st round: Video interview, HM & Director panel discussion within the same team – 60mins
– 2nd round: Video interview with VP & Director with different team – 60 mins
• Hiring Manager’s availability to interview: ASAP
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$80.00 and CA$95.00
