About the Role
A nationally recognized, top-ranked construction and solar EPC firm is seeking a Civil Project Manager to lead civil scopes on large, utility-scale solar projects across the U.S. This is a high-impact role for a civil construction professional who wants ownership, visibility, and the opportunity to grow with a rapidly expanding renewable energy platform.
The Civil Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing out all civil work on solar projects, working closely with estimating, field operations, and mechanical and electrical teams to deliver safe, high-quality projects on schedule and within budget.
This position operates within an estimator-doer model and offers significant exposure to leadership, complex projects, and long-term career growth.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Own all civil scopes from estimate through project closeout
• Manage grading, drainage, stormwater management, SWPPP, erosion control, and site access roads
• Partner with estimating on scope reviews, budgets, and bid packages
• Lead constructability reviews and value engineering efforts
• Manage subcontractor buyout, contracts, performance, and financial health
• Maintain civil budgets, forecasts, and cost controls
• Coordinate schedules to align with overall project milestones
• Support field operations with quality, safety, and compliance oversight
• Manage civil change orders and cost impacts
• Mentor project engineers and assistant project managers
• Lead civil closeout deliverables including as-builts and demobilization
What We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing civil construction projects
• Strong background in grading, drainage, stormwater management, and earthwork
• Experience managing civil subcontractors and project finances
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
• Willingness to travel approximately 30 percent
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Fort Lauderdale, FL
Nice to Have
• Utility-scale solar or renewable energy project experience
• Heavy civil construction background
• Experience mentoring junior project staff
• Exposure to large greenfield construction projects
