As we embark on
this exciting journey, we are seeking a talented and passionate Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join us in our pursuit of transforming drug development.
Responsibilities:
? Cloud Database Management: Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure cloud
databases that store experimental data, logs, and other critical lab information.
? Cloud-Lab Integration: Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure for reliable
communication between lab equipment and cloud systems, implementing features like
device health checks, operational logging, and performance monitoring.
? Web Server and Protocol Expertise: Manage web server operations, ensuring robust
and efficient communication protocols are in place to support data flow between
on-premise and cloud systems.
? IT Security: Design and enforce security policies and best practices, focusing on cloud
security, encryption, and data protection across our cloud ecosystem.
? Automated Security Monitoring: Set up automated code scanning and vulnerability
assessments (e.g., using GitHub Enterprise and other tools) to ensure secure code
deployment and adherence to industry standards.
? Documentation and Compliance: Draft and maintain comprehensive security
documentation, keeping the team aligned with regulatory and compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
? Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
? 5+ years of experience with cloud infrastructure, ideally in Microsoft Azure (AWS or GCP
are acceptable)
? Strong experience of SQL databases and related concepts, with hands-on experience in
cloud-based relational database systems (e.g., Azure SQL Database, PostgreSQL).
? Demonstrated knowledge of IoT concepts, including device management, data
streaming, and cloud-to-device communications, particularly in automated lab or
scientific settings
? Deep understanding of web server operations, communication protocols (e.g.,
HTTP/HTTPS, MQTT), and data streaming concepts.
? Proficiency in cloud security practices, encryption standards, and data protection
strategies.
? Demonstrated experience drafting and enforcing security policies and best practices for
data management and cloud systems.
? Experience with automated security tools, including code scanning and vulnerability
checks, preferably using GitHub Enterprise or similar platforms.
? Ability to translate technical concepts for cross-functional teams and collaborate
effectively with scientists and engineers.
