Construction Manager
Accountabilities:
- Day to day oversight of components of construction within a major infrastructure project, including a specific focus on the risks associated with the construction activities that may impact safety, quality, traffic management, and any existing conditions.
- Monitors the Contractor’s performance to verify conformance/compliance with the provisions of the contract technical requirements and escalates as appropriate.
- Manages and ensures compliance of the requirements of the contracts.
- Develops and maintains constructive relationships with stakeholders and works collaboratively to identify and mitigate project risks.
- Works to develop collaborative interface with multi-disciplinary internal partners.
- Supervises, recruits, and manages the assignment of work, development and evaluation of performance expectations, career guidance, approvals of leave, and performance management.
Preferred Education and Qualifications:
- Degree in Construction Management, Project Management or Civil Engineering and extensive experience in construction management and oversight, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong understanding of construction schedules and methodologies.
- Professional engineering designation.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$80.00 and CA$120.00
