Contract Administrator – Commercial & Supply Chain – Nuclear New Build
Location: Bruce County, ON — 3 days per week onsite required
Type: Long-term contract engagement – 12 Months
The role
The Contract Administrator is the working-level owner of the contract after award. You know the contract inside out, sit in weekly contractor meetings, manage correspondence and commercial issues as they arise, and keep contract execution on the rails day to day.
What you’ll do
- Administer contracts and purchase orders through execution to closeout, managing the commercial relationship with contractors day to day
- Attend weekly contractor meetings; review contractor correspondence and prepare responses
- Support the full procurement lifecycle: bid preparation, tendering, supplier evaluation, award, administration
- Analyze bids, proposals and quotations across commercial, technical, quality and delivery criteria
- Review and support negotiation of commercial terms, amendments, change orders, claims and dispute resolution
- Conduct commercial risk assessments in collaboration with legal, finance and risk specialists
- Monitor supplier performance and contract execution; drive corrective action on issues
- Maintain contract documentation, supplier records, performance metrics and procurement files
- Provide procurement and commercial advice to internal stakeholders
What you bring
- Four-year degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 6+ years in procurement, contract administration, supply chain or contract management
- Major capital project / new build experience strongly preferred — energy, power generation, mining, oil & gas, petrochemical or heavy industrial
- Solid grounding in purchasing principles, contract law, commercial evaluation and supplier relationship management
- Experience running or supporting RFIs, RFPs, RFQs and tender processes
- Knowledge of industry codes, standards and audit processes related to procurement in regulated environments
- Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with procurement and contract management systems
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$70.00 and CA$80.00
