Contract Specialist – Commercial & Supply Chain – Nuclear New Build
Location: Bruce County, ON — 3 days per week onsite required
Type: Long-term contract engagement – 12 Months

The role
The Contract Specialist is the package owner. You take commercial strategy set at the senior level and turn it into executed contracts — building RFPs, running tenders, evaluating proposals, preparing comparisons and driving award recommendations for major work packages.

What you’ll do

  • Develop, negotiate, implement and administer major service agreements and contract packages
  • Prepare RFPs and tender documentation; lead cross-functional sourcing teams through supplier selection
  • Review and evaluate proposals, prepare commercial comparisons, and support award recommendations
  • Analyze market conditions, supplier capability and industry trends to inform sourcing strategy
  • Build and manage strategic supplier relationships including performance management and continuous improvement
  • Coordinate with project, engineering, legal and finance stakeholders to align requirements
  • Provide direction and oversight to Contract Administrators supporting your packages
  • Support spend analysis, demand forecasting and supplier rationalization initiatives

What you bring

  • Four-year degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field
  • 6–8+ years progressive experience in procurement, contract management or supply chain
  • New build / greenfield major project experience strongly preferred — energy, power generation, mining, oil & gas, petrochemical or heavy industrial
  • Demonstrated RFP development and competitive tender leadership on significant contract packages
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, commercial evaluation, sourcing strategy and supplier relationship management
  • Strong financial acumen — commercial evaluations, business cases, executive recommendations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to influence across levels and with external suppliers
  • Highly regulated industry experience an asset; claims/dispute resolution or delay analysis exposure an asset

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$110.00 and CA$120.00
