Technical Cyber Architect

Contract: 3-6 months (potential conversion)

Location: Etobicoke (Hybrid / 3 days onsite)

Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Technical Cybersecurity Architect with expertise in diverse cybersecurity technologies to support an ongoing implementation in collaboration with Wipro. This role requires a highly experienced professional capable of providing architectural guidance, technical leadership, and hands-on expertise across multiple streams of cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities:
 

  1. Architectural Leadership:
    • Provide end-to-end technical oversight and architecture design for cybersecurity solutions.
    • Collaborate with implementation partners and internal teams to ensure alignment with organizational security objectives.
  2. Cybersecurity Streams Implementation:
    • SIEM: Design and optimize solutions leveraging Microsoft Sentinel for security event and incident management.
    • SOC/Incident Response: Develop and refine incident response processes, playbooks, and workflows for efficient operations.
    • Endpoint Protection: Architect solutions for endpoint detection and response (EDR) using Microsoft ATP/XDR.
    • Privileged Access Management: Oversee implementation and governance of BeyondTrust PAM solutions.
    • Vulnerability and Patch Management: Lead integration and optimization of Qualys for identifying and remediating vulnerabilities.
    • Firewall and Network Security: Conduct rule reviews and guide network segmentation for Cisco, Checkpoint, and Palo Alto firewalls.
    • Cloud Security: Implement and manage CASB solutions to secure cloud environments.
    • Modern Authentication: Architect and deploy MFA solutions leveraging technologies like Silverfort and Microsoft-based MFA.
  3. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Partner with IT, network, and application teams to ensure security requirements are embedded across systems and processes.
    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to teams, ensuring best practices in cybersecurity are upheld.
  4. Technical Expertise and Best Practices:
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity technologies, standards, and practices.
    • Evaluate emerging threats and recommend enhancements to existing security infrastructure.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Technical Cybersecurity Architect or similar role.
  • Deep technical expertise across multiple cybersecurity domains, including SIEM, SOC, EDR, PAM, cloud security, and network security.
  • Hands-on experience with tools and platforms such as:
    • Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM)
    • BeyondTrust (PAM)
    • Microsoft ATP/XDR (Endpoint Protection)
    • Qualys (Vulnerability Management)
    • Firewalls: Cisco, Checkpoint, Palo Alto
    • CASB solutions
    • Silverfort and Microsoft MFA solutions
  • Strong understanding of SOC workflows, incident response processes, and playbook creation.
  • Knowledge of modern cybersecurity frameworks and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Experience with large-scale cybersecurity implementations in enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with Wipro implementation methodologies is a plus.

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$100.00 and CA$110.00
