What will you do?

  • Work with Decision Support Analysts to understand and gather requirements such that it aligns with Business objectives thereby helping teams to make better data decisions.
  • Support development and enhancement of data table design related to customer data, and engagement of customers across the CTC family of companies.
  • Support development of customer profitability modelling, by establishing customer data connections, optimization of metrics gathering production.
  • Use your business acumen to better understand metrics used in our analysis and reporting to enhance how we access and use data within the organization.
  • Propose sound approaches to interpret data to the Business team which would enable the teams to easily work with and communicate complex ideas.
  • Support the testing activities with the Business teams to meet data accuracy standards set by the organization. Work with appropriate teams to resolve issues identified.  
  • Apply and espouse the principles of good design with respect to databases, programs, and reports to simplify ongoing support and enhance sustainability.
  • Oversee the documentation and training of business users of our various data marts and data sources.

What are your skills and experience?

  • Intermediate to expert level understanding of SQL
  • Intermediate to expert level programming experience with SAS, Python, PySpark and/or R specifically for use in data manipulation.
  • Intermediate to expert level knowledge in data environments, such as Netezza, Oracle, Hadoop and/or Cloud (Azure, Google)
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and/or Power BI visualization tool
  • University degree – Computer Science, or related programming education.
  • SAS certification considered an asset.
  • Experience in Retail Industry an asset in any of the following areas: marketing or sales support, operations, finance
     

How will you create impact?

  • Manage standard / adhoc reporting, daily requests for new data creation, raise questions or concerns with the business units, log issues with the data provider, confirm issue resolution
  • Manage production support tickets for business-critical issues
  • Monitor, prioritize and action ticket queue to ensure requests are resolved in timely and efficient manner
  • Actively work with cross functional business units to ensure data standards are followed
  • Provide data management support to business units for new and ongoing projects
  • Perform data quality scans on various related data sets
  • Provide recommendations for improving maintenance processes.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$65,000 and CA$75,000
