Position (details)
As a member of our Digital Platform team, you will be joining an agile and innovative technology group with experience in and passion for delivering a differentiated experience and innovative solutions for our clients, advisors, and employees using digital technology and data-driven insights. As a Digital Asset Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that organization’s digital assets are well-managed, secure, and easily accessible, supporting efficient and effective use across the organization.
You will also be integral to a team focused on enhancing and further automating our DevOps process including improvements to digital code delivery, automation of manual release tasks, and integration of our internal systems with SaaS platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), etc. You will be working collaboratively with a team of platform administrators, release engineers, software developers, and business architects/analysts to improve our delivery processes, correct errors, and assess delivery health and performance. In order to enable successful and timely change management and production implementations, you will work closely with the business and technology, partnering up with external suppliers and vendors
Responsibilities:
Asset Organization and Management
o Organize, categorize, and manage digital assets within the AEM system to support all lines of business and for all channels
o Monitor/review asset uploads, ensuring accurate metadata application, adherence to naming conventions, and maintenance of the folder structure
o Hands-on implementation of structures and permissions defined by IA/Assets Librarian around folder structures, fragments, assets, API’s, migration and archival
o Develop and maintain governance of metadata standards, DAM folder structure, and taxonomy
o Provide guidance to development teams and business lines about system architecture on how to use AEM Assets application
o Document procedures for building and managing AEM Assets features, components, and tools.
o Stay informed of the latest business needs and trends and conduct routine user experience research to ensure the metadata structure and taxonomy is meeting the needs of all users.
o Lead a Governance Committee/Center of Excellence to bring together key stakeholders/DAM users.
System Maintenance and Optimization
o Perform regular audits of assets to identify and remove outdated materials.
o Employ system reporting, monitoring tools and periodic audits to measure the technical health of AEM Assets and identifies risk.
Document DAM processes and standards and communicates to business and partners.
o Schedule new installs of new software releases and application system upgrades, evaluate and install patches, and new application supplied products
o Implement routine DAM clean up and archiving practices
Integration and Collaboration
o Work closely with both technology and business teams to integrate the DAM system with other tools and platforms.
o Collaborate with marketing, creative, and content teams to ensure assets meet organizational standards and are effectively utilized
User Support and Training
o Provide training and support on how to effectively use the AEM DAM system, for both initial rollout and onboarding new team members.
o Develop comprehensive training materials as user guides and best practices for asset management for ongoing reference.
o Serve as the go-to expert for any DAM-related issues or questions, ensuring smooth operation and user support
o Train business team members and development partners to ensure that any new functionality for AEM Assets meets technical requirements, gets tested and implemented as required
Security and Compliance
o Identify and address non-compliance with operating procedures among users
o Use Assets reports and periodic audits to identify non-compliance items and helps business or partners to bring the content into compliance
o Ensure the security and integrity of digital assets.
o Manage permissions and access controls to protect sensitive content
The Successful Candidate Will Have the Following Experience
Financial Services Industry experience required
Strong understanding of AEM and its DAM capabilities
Knowledge of metadata standards and digital asset workflows
Ability to manage and organize large volumes of digital assets
Strong attention to detail to ensure assets are correctly categorized and tagged
Excellent communication skills to work effectively with various teams.
Ability to train and support users with varying levels of technical expertise.
Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
Ability to continuously improve and optimize asset management processes.
Experiencing using a scripting language or tool such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
Experience and confidence using version management tools
Experience with Atlassian tools such as JIRA, and Confluence
Experience with automation tools and automated pipeline processes
University degree required
Master’s degree in technology or business desired

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$60.00 and CA$75.00
