Digital Content Strategy Specialist
Our client in the aviation space is seeking a skilled Content Strategy Specialist to support their CMS implementation and website modernization strategy.

Content Audit and Analysis
Assess existing content on the current site: destination pages, promotions, loyalty program content, flight booking flows, FAQs, etc.
Identify what content to migrate, update, retire, or rewrite.
Analyze performance metrics (bounce rates, conversions, SEO performance) to understand what’s working.

Content Strategy Planning
Develop a content strategy that aligns with:
The airline's brand voice and tone.
Key user journeys (e.g., booking a flight, managing a reservation, joining a loyalty program).
Business goals (increase bookings, upsell seats/baggage, promote routes).
Define content types and templates: e.g., destination pages, flight offers, alerts, loyalty promos.
Plan for multilingual and regional content if the airline serves global markets.

Content Modeling for CMS
Work with developers and UX designers to define content models:
What fields each content type needs (e.g., hero image, flight offer details, CTA).
How content will be tagged, categorized, and reused.
Ensure the CMS is structured for scalability, personalization, and future updates.

Workflow and Governance
Help set up content workflows in the CMS:
Roles: who creates, reviews, approves, and publishes.
Review cycles, version control, localization steps.
Document governance guidelines: style guides, tone of voice, accessibility standards.

SEO and Metadata Strategy
Ensure the new CMS supports strong SEO:
Metadata fields (titles, descriptions, alt text).
URL structure and schema markup.
Provide guidelines or create a plan for ongoing search optimization.

Testing and Migration
QA content during the migration to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Test how content displays across devices and browsers.
Ensure content loads fast and is accessible (WCAG compliance).

Post-Launch Monitoring and Optimization
Monitor content performance after launch.
Recommend content updates or new content based on user behavior and business data.

In this Airline Context, Specific Focus Might Include:
Creating scalable templates for destination guides or flight deal pages.
Structuring content for seasonal promotions, real-time alerts, and personalized offers.
Planning for frequent updates to schedules, policies (like baggage or COVID rules), or loyalty program details.
 

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$55.00 and CA$70.00
