Job Title: Document Control Analyst (Intermediate)

Our client is a leader in the responsible development and reliable and safe operation of North American energy infrastructure. They are one of the continent’s largest providers of gas storage and related services.
They are currently looking for an Document Control Analyst (Intermediate) for Calgary, AB location.
The Intermediate Document Control Specialist will manage and maintain controlled documentation for projects and operations, ensuring compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and vendor/supplier documentation processes. This role supports efficient document flow between internal teams and external vendors, contributing to project success and organizational compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Document Management:
• Maintain and update controlled documents in electronic and hard copy formats.
• Ensure proper classification, storage, and retrieval of documents in accordance with company procedures.
• Track document revisions and maintain version control.
Vendor/Supplier Documentation:
• Review, register, and monitor vendor and supplier documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely submission of required documents.
• Validate vendor documentation against project specifications and standards.
Compliance & Quality:
• Implement document control processes aligned with regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Support audits and inspections by providing accurate document records.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive documentation.
Collaboration:
• Liaise with project teams, procurement, and vendors to resolve documentation issues.
• Provide guidance on document control procedures to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
• Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years in document control, preferably in oil & gas, construction, or infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience managing vendor/supplier documentation and Master Document Registers (MDR).
• Proficiency in document management systems (e.g., SharePoint, Aconex, OpenText, Bluebeam).
• Knowledge of SAP and Hexagon SDx is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and document retention policies.
• Familiarity with project governance and assurance frameworks.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$24.00 and CA$27.00
