Position Title: Electrical Project Engineer
Duration: 12 months contract
Location: Brampton, ON
Summary
We are seeking an Electrical Designer for our aerospace engineering client. This role involves hands-on design of avionics hardware and cabling systems for both spaceborne and terrestrial platforms, with an emphasis on high-reliability, mission-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities

Produce electrical designs for avionics enclosures, circuit card assemblies (CCA), printed circuit boards (PCB), and cable harnesses.

Translate program and customer requirements into practical, manufacturable design solutions.

Propose innovative design concepts that balance performance, cost, and program constraints.

Develop cable mechanisms for rotary and articulated interfaces.

Execute cable routing, harness layout, and 3D modeling.

Incorporate inputs from electrical, structural, materials, and thermal disciplines into integrated 3D models.

Contribute to chassis design work with consideration for EMI/EMC, thermal, mass, and packaging constraints.

Generate production drawings, assembly instructions, and parts lists.

Create and maintain design standards, process documentation, and reusable templates.
Skills & Competencies

Strong collaborator with attention to detail.

Capable of producing engineering drawings, sketches, and technical calculations.

Skilled in applying electrical theory to practical engineering problems.

Experienced with CAD tools, electrical design software, and related applications.

Ability to perform detailed analyses to establish manufacturing and installation standards.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

Prior experience in electrical design for aerospace, defense, robotics, or other high-reliability industries preferred.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$55.00 and CA$65.00
