Electrical Engineer – Compressor Station Design

Overview:
Assist the design and engineering oversight of compressor station facilities for capital projects, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards. Manage third-party engineering partners to deliver projects on time and within budget, while coordinating closely with internal teams across Project Execution, Operations, and Shared Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee third-party design work to ensure alignment with regulatory, industry, and company standards.

  • Manage design deliverables, budgets, and schedules for compressor station projects.

  • Design and review electrical components and systems for station interconnects.

  • Approve technical documents including drawings, reports, and material lists.

  • Participate in design reviews with internal and external stakeholders to address performance and constructability.

  • Evaluate vendor proposals and recommend equipment based on technical merit, cost, and delivery timelines.

  • Capture and share lessons learned and quality observations.

  • Contribute to department-wide initiatives as needed.

Qualifications:
Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant industry experience

Preferred:

  • Strong ability to work independently and manage multiple projects

  • Effective at solving complex issues using standards and experience

  • Skilled at communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences

Work Environment:

  • 80% office-based with collaboration across multiple project teams

  • 20% field-based for project scoping and supporting construction activities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is between $75.00 and $80.00
