Job Title: Engineering Change Control SME

Location: Pickering, ON (Hybrid)

Estimated Duration: 12 months

Overview:
We are looking for an experience Engineering Change Control Subject Matter Expert to support project work within a large, regulated utility environment. This role focuses on providing advanced guidance, oversight, and hands-on support for managing technical changes within an established change control framework.

Key Requirements:

  • 8–10 years of relevant experience in engineering or technical project environments, including direct involvement in formal change control processes.
  • Background may include work with major utilities, infrastructure operators, or engineering service providers supporting complex design changes.
  • Strong familiarity with engineering governance practices, design modification workflows, documentation expectations, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Ability to guide teams through change submissions, develop technical justifications, assemble change packages, and manage items through their full lifecycle.
  • Professional engineering designation in Ontario is considered an asset.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work with multidisciplinary technical and project teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary expert on engineering change management processes, ensuring adherence to standards and quality expectations.
  • Provide direction on procedural steps, required documentation, and industry best practices.
  • Help resolve process-related challenges and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, technical authorities, and external partners as required.
  • Support ongoing updates and enhancements to internal governance frameworks.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$90.00 and CA$120.00
