Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to lead analysis and reporting on payroll and financial metrics within our GTM business unit. This role is integral to our financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes, working directly with the management team to develop cost center budgets, workforce plans, and ensure accurate financial allocations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial analysis, payroll cost management, and reporting, with a strong understanding of financial metrics and business drivers in a complex operating environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Cost Analysis & Planning: Lead the analysis of payroll costs, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning for the GTM business unit.
  • Budget Development: Partner with GTM management to develop cost center budgets and workforce plans aligned with operational goals.
  • Allocation & Overhead Capitalization: Oversee the allocation and overhead capitalization process, producing monthly reports and conducting in-depth analysis.
  • Process Improvement: Manage and enhance the recently developed automation tool for GTM allocations, continuously seeking ways to improve processes.
  • Financial Metric Analysis: Review and analyze key financial metrics, such as EBITDA and Distributable Cash Flow (DCF), to provide insights and support informed decision-making.
  • Ad-Hoc Support & Collaboration: Respond to ad-hoc inquiries, building expertise in US Transmission’s principal business drivers and fostering productive relationships with other business units.
  • Analytical Tools & System Proficiency: Utilize advanced analytical tools, including Excel (Pivot Tables, Index, Match, VLOOKUP, Logical functions) and other systems like Hyperion Planning and Essbase, with a focus on identifying and implementing system enhancements.
  • Trend Analysis & Reporting: Analyze projected results, ensuring that trends are well-supported to provide senior management with a clear understanding of issues and strategic actions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field (Preferred).
  • CPA or equivalent financial designation (Preferred).
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant financial analysis experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and major ERP systems; Oracle Cloud experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple assignments, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, capable of collaborating in diverse, fast-paced environments.
