Position Title: Full Stack Developer
Location: Toronto, ON
Estimated Duration: 4 months
Story Behind the Need
Business group: Client Engineering – Commerce Engineering – team is focused on product onboarding platforms
Project: Require developer for application (name in system: savings account interlink application) as part of the deposits domain – at stage of gathering requirements – will be working a few ongoing projects for releases: Hisa account and low cost/no cost for regulatory change

Typical Day in Role:
• Full stack development work – working on back-end and a bit of front end (70/30 split)
• Tech stack: Java, JSP framework
• Working on application in all phases of the SDLC life cycle in an Agile environment
• Supporting testing – Provide development support for testing team
• Deploying changes
• Some debugging of product issues may be required
• Work with team members and sometimes lead technical discussions
• Application is a UI application – working on logic of business rules of app and updating UI, there will be some integration of Rest APIs
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) 10+ years’ experience as a developer, with some experience from FI
2) 5+ years’ experience with Java
3) 2-3 years’ experience with Rest APIs using Springboot
4) 2+ years’ experience working with JSP framework
Nice-To-Have Skills:
1) Experience with WebSphere
2) Experience with development in large applications
3) Working in an Agile environment
Soft Skills Required:
• Good communication skills
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Teamwork
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems independently
• Quick learner
Education:
Bachelor’s in technical field i.e. computer science, engineering – if have higher education is an asset
Best VS. Average Candidate:
Ideal candidate should be a strong Java Dev with experience in the financial industry, experience in large applications, is a good problem solver and works independently
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$85.00 and CA$95.00
