About the Role

We are seeking an experienced ICS / SCADA Systems Specialist to provide technical leadership and hands-on expertise in the design, implementation, and optimization of industrial control systems across a growing portfolio of wind and solar power facilities.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring SCADA and control systems are secure, reliable, and aligned with engineering and operational standards, while supporting safe and compliant power generation. The position has a strong focus on the Ignition SCADA platform and requires close collaboration with engineering, operations, cybersecurity, and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support ICS/SCADA system activities across new and existing renewable energy projects
Design, configure, and optimize SCADA systems with a strong emphasis on system performance, reliability, and scalability
Serve as a subject matter expert for Ignition, including system architecture, redundancy, tag modeling, scripting, alarm management, and security
Ensure all systems meet internal engineering standards, cybersecurity requirements, and industry best practices
Review and approve system documentation, drawings, and deliverables; identify gaps and drive corrective actions
Assess existing SCADA and control environments to identify risks, performance issues, and opportunities for improvement
Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and ongoing operational support of control systems
Review OT network architectures and data flows to ensure secure and reliable integration across field devices, SCADA platforms, historians, and enterprise systems
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, IT, cybersecurity, and operations) to validate system designs and ensure alignment with safety and compliance requirements
Promote a strong safety-first mindset in all phases of system design and operation

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience working with SCADA, ICS, or industrial automation systems
Hands-on experience with Ignition SCADA (design, configuration, and support)
Strong understanding of industrial control systems, including PLCs, RTUs, and field devices
Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC, DNP3)
Knowledge of OT network architecture and system integration
Familiarity with cybersecurity principles in industrial environments
Proven ability to troubleshoot and optimize complex control systems
Strong communication skills and ability to work across technical and operational teams

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in renewable energy (wind, solar) or power generation environments
Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory frameworks (e.g., NERC CIP)
Experience with SCADA historians and enterprise system integration
Background in system commissioning and field support
