Infrastructure Technology Analyst
(IT Desktop Technician)

Location: Richmond, BC – Hybrid: 3-days in office
Pay Rate: $28 – $36/hourly – dependent on qualifications and experience
Job Duration:12-months, possible extension opportunities
Our client’s IT Department is seeking two Infrastructure Technology Analysts to join our Tier 1+2 Deskside Support team. You will provide computer support services to users in all areas of the company address various technical incidents and problems, work with various types of software, and support PC hardware/peripherals and operating system platforms within secure environments.
Client Overview:
Our client is a Canadian-based company specializing in space technology and services. It is known for its contributions to satellite communications, space robotics, geospatial systems, and Earth observation. The company has a rich history of involvement in high-profile space programs, including designing and building the Canadarm used on the Space Shuttle and the International Space Station.
Qualifications:
- Diploma/degree in related studies or 1 year of experience in Deskside Support or Help Desk.
- Upon offer, must obtain and maintain Reliability Status security clearance and pass Controlled Goods Program (CGP) assessment.
- Proficient in Windows 10, Active Directory, SCCM, Office 2016/O365
Responsibilities:
- Act as liaison between field service personnel and IT management to resolve hardware/software issues.
- Provide stable and reliable desktop system support for MDA users across offices.
- Deliver Tier 2 technical/user support via phone, email, and remote tools using corporate service management software.
- Manage and prioritize Incident and Service Request tickets, ensuring timely updates.
- Communicate effectively with end users using corporate telephony and messaging tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve end-user technology issues (desktops, laptops, software, mobile devices, etc.); escalate when needed.
- Perform basic troubleshooting for network, server, and enterprise applications; escalate as required.
- Maintain expertise in Windows 10, Active Directory, SCCM, Office 2016/O365.
