Job Title: Intermediate Software Developer
Location: Winnipeg, MB (Hybrid)
Estimated Duration: 11 Months
Responsibilities:
- Build positive relationships with clients to deliver excellent customer service
- Build high-quality integration solutions using team best practices and techniques
- Collaborate closely with multiple teams to deliver complex multi-tier application solutions
- Support all phases of software delivery from design, development and testing through to deployment.
- Provide technical expertise to make code design and implementation decisions
- Provide ongoing daily operations support and remediation via incident management of production applications within the Investments line of business
- Provide first on-call and back-up support on a rotating basis
- Focus on continually improving and automating integration solutions and processes
- Contribute to the standards and guidelines throughout the application environment
- Focus on continuous learning and professional development
Qualifications:
- Degree/diploma in a related discipline (computer science) or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Minimum of 7 years as a software developer, with at least 5 years of practical experience developing system integrations
- Proficiency with software development techniques such as Unit Testing, Continuous Integration, Test-Driven Development, and Automated Testing
- Proven knowledge and experience with
- Visual Studio including .NET, HTML5
- .NET software framework
- Java
- Web Services
- Service-Oriented Architecture
- Oracle 11G database and or Microsoft SQL Server
- Microsoft Office tools
- Sharepoint
- Power Automate tools
- Self-starter who can tackle a problem and drive it through to resolution
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to develop and maintain collaborative business relationships
- Able to pivot and quickly change direction in response to changing priorities
- Ability to communicate, verbally and in writing, complex concepts to a non-technical audience
- Experience working in the financial industry is a definite asset
- Exposure to ETL technologies is an asset
- Experience with incident tracking and collaboration software: JIRA, Confluence, Service Now, would be an asset
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$85.00 and CA$91.00
