Story Behind the Need
Business group: GTS – SID – Client Portfolio Support Services
The group Solution integration and delivery cooperates with both vendor and internal technology teams to ensure smooth execution and implementation of infrastructure initiatives within client.
Project: The candidate will be a part of multi-year project which is the Cloud Acceleration Program – It is a high Priority Workload Stream as phase 1 has commenced which is expected to complete early next year. Phase 2 should then kick off.

Candidate Value Proposition:
The successful candidate will need to work in the Cloud Acceleration Program (CAP) to represent Solutions Integration and Delivery Team in working with our Vendor partners to facilitate successful delivery of the Cloud Acceleration Program (CAP) migration waves.
Typical Day in Role:
The main function of an IT Project Manager is to oversee the application of project management methodology during all phases of the project cycle, with responsibilities that include project design, scope management, cost control, quality, and performance reporting.
- We should specify this is an infrastructure type of role vs just Software Development (that said we will probably only get PMs with Software Development experience)
- Develop, track, and manage project budget, project plans, timelines, and scope.
- Manage project resources including procuring project staff, developing, motivating, coaching, and advising.
- Partner closely with other members of functional teams to define business requirements.
- Collaborate with developers in the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business needs on infrastructure technology stack.
- Define test plans and ensure that products are defect free before User Acceptance Testing Facilitate the User Acceptance Testing process, developing rollout plans and procedures.
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager/delivery manager
- 3 years with Cloud Platform technology experience and additionally should have some technical knowledge of infrastructure.
- 5 years’ experience of scope management.
- 5 years’ experience with Stakeholder Management
- 5 years’ experience Business and technical requirements gathering for example infrastructure needs.
Nice-To-Have Skills:
- FI/Banking experience (North American Banking) as an asset
- IT Infrastructure, IT Service management knowledge is an asset.
- Experience with change advisory board, operational readiness, and Runbooks.
Soft Skills Required:
- Strong ability to assess risk and apply management principles to technology applications/products and business functions.
- Verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyse complex situations.
- Ability to present to stakeholders.
- Is a good team player.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required.
- MBA or other related advanced degree or PMP or PMI certification is nice to have.
Best VS. Average Candidate:
Has experience with managing Runbooks and migration waves.
Candidate Review & Selection
1st round – Teams – 1 hour – HM and panel (Technical)
2nd round – in person – 1 hour – Senior Panel
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$55.00 and CA$70.00
