Job Title: Senior Risk Data Analyst / BI Developer (AML / FCRM)

Location: Remote (East Coast hours)
Duration: 4+ Months (Potential Extension/Conversion)


Overview

Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a Senior Risk Data Analyst / BI Developer to join the Enterprise Protect Risk Factory team under Financial Crime Risk Management (FCRM). This is a high-impact role supporting enterprise risk assessment initiatives through data analytics, reporting, and automation.

The ideal candidate brings strong experience in AML, data analytics, and business intelligence, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support enterprise-wide risk assessment and reporting initiatives within FCRM
  • Develop and maintain data quality scripts to ensure accuracy and integrity of risk data
  • Design and deliver analytics tools, dashboards, and reports for stakeholders
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and 2nd Line of Defense to resolve data and reporting challenges
  • Validate data quality, lineage, and reporting outputs across multiple data sources
  • Support KRI (Key Risk Indicator) design, change initiatives, and ongoing reporting enhancements
  • Act as a subject matter expert on data sources, data flows, and reporting data marts
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and automation

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in data analytics, reporting, or BI development
  • Strong AML / Financial Crime Risk Management (FCRM) background
  • Advanced proficiency in:
    • SQL
    • Excel
    • Python (or similar tools for data analysis/automation)
  • Experience working in financial services or risk-focused environments
  • Strong understanding of data quality, data lineage, and reporting frameworks
  • Familiarity with technology controls and security risk concepts
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Power BI and/or Tableau
  • Background in business intelligence or solutions development
  • Experience supporting large-scale, enterprise data initiatives

  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

  • Collaborative, high-performing risk and technology team
  • Interaction with internal stakeholders across risk, data, and technology teams
  • Approx. 2 hours/week in meetings

  • Work Hours: Aligned to East Coast
  • Training: ~3 weeks
  • Travel: None
  • Work Model: Fully Remote (must be located near an East Coast TD hub for potential conversion)
  • Access to sensitive financial/customer data required

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is between $86.00 and $104.00
