Job Title: JIRA Administrator
Term:
18 months (conversion to FT)

Location: North Vancouver, BC (Onsite)

Job Description
The JIRA implementation developer and administrator is responsible for the implementation of JIRA work package management (WPM) into our clients project management tool set.

This will include the development and implementation of business rules, project environments, workflows, training materials, technical documents and administration procedures for current and future projects at the shipyard. The JIRA implementation developer and administrator is also responsible to develop reports to monitor progress and to support integrations with interfacing tools (such as PLM, Aras Innovator). The position reports to the Systems Engineering Manager.

 Duties/Accountabilities

  • Develop business process for the use of JIRA work package management alongside existing project management tools
  • Develop JIRA environment for specific use
  • Develop project templates for use on a range of project sizes within our client
  • Manage the JIRA/Atlassian tool chain and add-ons
  • Develop multiple reporting dashboards  and filters in support of the range of stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and end users training materials
  • Provide training to end users and serve as a point of contact for JIRA-related issues
  • Monitor performance of JIRA in use across our client and sub-contractor organizations and work with other teams to resolve and ensure up time.
  • Interface with stakeholders to ensure alignment of processes and reporting
  • Stay up to date with Atlassian product updates and best practices

Education and Experience

Must have:

  • Relevant Diploma/Degree level education
  • Proven experience as a JIRA Administrator or similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and supporting JIRA environments is a must
  • Experience with the design and development of standard and custom workflows, and automations within the JIRA WPM environment
  • Demonstrated experience designing and building reporting dashboards

Nice to have:

  • Experience developing custom scripts / Rest APIs
  • Knowledge of project management, specifically agile methodologies
  • Experience installing and configuring JIRA plugins
  • Experience of working with diverse, complex engineering projects
  • Experience of working within shipbuilding

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$40.00 and CA$58.00
