Job Title: Junior Contract Analyst
Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid)
Estimated Duration: 6 Months
Overview:
Our client, a leading energy infrastructure company, is seeking a Junior Contract Analyst to support the end-to-end management of service orders and contracts with third-party suppliers. This role will work closely with Supply Chain, Business Units, Accounts Payable, and contractors to ensure contracts are compliant, effective, and aligned with company policies. It’s an excellent opportunity to gain experience in supplier contract management and contribute to cost-saving and performance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:

Create and manage service orders for third-party suppliers.

Administer contracts in line with company Supply Chain Policies & Procedures.

Identify contract risks, issues, and opportunities for improvement.

Work collaboratively with Supply Chain leaders, Business Units, Accounts Payable, and contractors/suppliers.

Escalate contract scope or time changes to management when necessary.

Review contractor claims for cost and schedule impact.

Maintain accurate and complete contractual documentation.

Monitor and report contractor performance against key KPIs.

Identify and document cost savings and contract value leakage.

Assist in reviewing suppliers’ capabilities, performance history, and financial strength.

Support negotiation strategies and participate in supplier negotiations.

Draft and finalize contracts to reflect negotiated outcomes and award decisions.

Ensure compliance with company training, policies, and procedures.

Support team KPIs and service level agreement (SLA) productivity goals.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience:

1–3 years of experience in supply chain, contract administration, or a related role.

Knowledge of contract creation, negotiation, and management processes.

Strong attention to detail and ability to track/maintain contract documentation.

Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to escalate issues appropriately.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Ability to learn and apply Supply Chain Policies & Procedures.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Willingness to work collaboratively and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Competencies:
-
Experience with contract management systems.

Exposure to supplier performance monitoring or negotiation support.

Basic understanding of KPIs and cost-saving initiatives in supply chain contexts.

Familiarity with energy sector supply chain processes is an asset.
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is between $28.00 and $30.00
