Junior SOC Analyst
12-Month Extendable Contract
What You’ll Do:
- Monitor, identify, investigate, report, and mitigate cyber security threats and risks.
- Assist in creating, reviewing, and maintaining security-related documents such as policies, procedures, device configuration baselines and response playbooks.
- Communicate and document findings to various customer audiences including technical and executive teams
- Collaborate and assist with core security and threat response teams.
- Understanding of Identity & Access Management governance including role- based access control, access request and certification.
- Partner with other business units and peers to champion a centralized identity management ecosystem.
- Create, maintain, and enforce policies and procedures to ensure effective provisioning, de-provisioning, and entitlements of all identities; suggest and implement continuous improvement and automation opportunities.
- Assist with various information security controls and compliance assessments, change and incident management.
- Be able to create governance reports and dashboards as required.
What You Will Bring (Experience)
- High School Diploma or two (2) years of experience within Information Security or Information Technology or bachelor’s degree in Information Security/Information Technology related field.
- Passion for all things related to information technology and cybersecurity.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills, with proven ability to think outside the box.
- Experience with threat hunting, endpoint, and network security monitoring.
- Experience working with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Endpoint Antivirus and Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR).
- Previous cybersecurity experience and/or certification is an asset.
- Experience with Cloud Platforms such as Azure and GCP is an asset.
- Customer service-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
