Cloud Architect – Azure Data (Consulting)
We’re looking for a Cloud Architect to join a growing Microsoft-focused consulting practice. This is a net-new, full-time role supporting US-based client engagements, with a strong emphasis on hands-on Azure data delivery and client-facing solutioning.
Location: United States. Preference for Texas (Austin ideal). Hybrid based on client needs.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design, build, and optimize Azure-based data platforms and architectures
- Lead hands-on development using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Synapse
- Assess current-state environments and define future-state solutions
- Work directly with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into technical designs
- Act as a trusted technical advisor across delivery and solution discussions
- Support presales activities, including solution design, scoping, and effort estimates
- Collaborate with delivery teams across multiple client engagements
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in Azure data engineering and architecture
- Background in consulting or professional services
- Comfortable balancing technical delivery and presales support
- Confident, polished client-facing communication skills
- Experience with SQL and modern data platforms
- US work authorization (no sponsorship at this time)
Nice to Have
- Microsoft Fabric experience
- Azure certifications
- Python, Scala, or Spark experience
This role is ideal for someone who wants to stay hands-on technically, while also influencing solution design and client strategy.
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is between $140,000 and $165,000
