Our client is seeking a Lead Civil Engineer to support major nuclear facility planning and design initiatives. This is a senior-level technical leadership role focused on civil/structural engineering oversight, nuclear code compliance, and multidisciplinary coordination within a highly regulated environment.

This position is fully remote

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and oversight for nuclear civil/structural engineering activities
  • Review and guide structural analysis, modeling, and design efforts
  • Support planning and design phases for complex nuclear facility projects
  • Ensure compliance with NRC, ACI, AISC, and related nuclear design standards
  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Participate in technical reviews, troubleshooting, and design evaluations
  • Interface with internal stakeholders and potentially external clients/regulators

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Active PE License required
  • 15+ years of engineering experience with strong nuclear industry background
  • Commercial nuclear and/or DOE nuclear project experience
  • Strong knowledge of NRC nuclear codes and standards
  • STAAD.Pro experience required
  • Strong structural analysis and technical review capability
  • U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SE License
  • ANSYS experience
  • NSSS OEM experience
  • DOE fuel cycle experience
  • Seismic hazard analysis experience
  • Leadership experience within multidisciplinary engineering environments

Additional Details:

  • 40 hours/week
  • Flexible schedules available (4×10 or 5×8)
  • Core collaboration hours: 10 AM – 2 PM
  • Long-term project opportunity with strong extension potential and possible conversion path

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is between $115.00 and $140.00
