Staff Marketing Manager, Partnerships & Affiliates
Overview
Our client’s partner and affiliate ecosystem is one of TurboTax Canada's most important growth engines — and this is the role that leads it. Join client Canada's Consumer Group Marketing team, empowering customers with the tools and confidence to take control of their finances.
As Senior Marketing Manager, Partnerships & Affiliates, you will own strategy, performance, investment and growth of TurboTax Canada's partner and affiliate ecosystem — spanning financial institutions (Scotiabank, BMO, TD), gig-economy platforms (Uber, Lyft, Etsy), and the affiliate publisher channel. You'll independently manage partner go-to-market while partnering with Product, Analytics, Legal, and Finance, turning partner opportunities into measurable revenue and data into decisions leadership can act on.
What You'll Do

  • Own end-to-end strategy and commercial performance for partnerships and affiliate channels, including revenue, acquisition and efficiency targets.
  • Lead annual and in-year channel planning, translating business objectives into partner priorities, forecasts and an executable roadmap.
  • Analyze partner and customer profiles/journeys to identify value propositions across the channel.
  • Own affiliate strategy: publisher recruitment, commission structures, network management, compliance and optimization of revenue, CAC/CPA and returns.
  • Build a pipeline of strategic partnerships from prospecting through negotiation and launch.
  • Own the measurement scorecard (revenue, CAC/CPA, ROAS, incrementality, LTV) to guide investment decisions.
  • Run experimentation to test customer-backed hypotheses and iterate quickly.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Analytics, Legal and Finance; negotiate commercial agreements balancing partner and client interests.
  • Apply AI and new martech tools (e.g., Tableau) to streamline operations and enhance partner/customer experiences.

What You'll Need

  • 5-7 years in partnerships, affiliate marketing, channel management or business development, with ownership of channel strategy and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field.
  • Track record building, negotiating and scaling partnerships/affiliate programs with measurable results.
  • Strong commercial and analytical judgment; comfortable structuring deals and building business cases.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills; able to influence stakeholders and present to senior leadership.
  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity.

Preferred Experience

  • Deep experience growing affiliate programs, including publisher recruitment, segmentation and commission optimization (e.g., Commission Junction).
  • Comfort with analytics tooling (e.g., Tableau).
  • Familiarity with fintech or partner data integrations.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives beyond your immediate team.

Key Competencies

  • Strategic Thinking: identifies value propositions from partner/customer insight; manages projects with velocity.
  • Compelling Communication: builds data-backed narratives that align cross-functional partners.
  • Insightful Analysis & Experimentation: builds business cases and iterates via experimentation.
  • Tech-Forward Thinking: applies AI/martech to streamline workflows.
  • Collaborative Ownership: drives outcomes and leads cross-team initiatives.
