  • This position is part of the Go-To-Market marketing team, which is responsible for customer lifecycle marketing (LCM) strategy and executing marketing initiatives to help small business owners start, run, and grow their businesses.
  • Our mission is to fuel small business success. As part of the team, you will report to the Senior Marketing Manager who specializes in Retention campaigns.
  • Your main responsibility will be to develop and implement key retention campaigns, including marketing tests, funnel optimization, and education campaigns that delight our customers. Responsibilities: *
  • Develop and implement retention campaigns – Work closely with the Product Marketing and Lifecycle Marketing team to develop best-in-class automated and personalized campaigns across multiple channels (email, in-product display and push notifications) that engage, educate and retain our customers. *
  • Develop clear messaging and creative briefs – Develop clear, concise and impactful messaging that resonates with different target audiences. Translate customer insights into customer-facing communications across a variety of channels. Create creative briefs that comprehensively capture all necessary information and direction needed for the execution teams. *
  • Evaluate copy and creative execution – Critique and evaluate promotional copy and creative execution. Provide clear, constructive feedback to design teams to ensure campaign goals are met. *
  • Design, execute, and measure marketing tests – Design, conduct, track, and make go/no go recommendations on marketing tests to optimize retention metrics such as churn, lifetime value and customer engagement in partnership with the analytics team. *
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams – Work closely with cross-functional teams such as product management, analytics, and customer care to create and support execution of effective retention strategies. *
  • Use data to optimize messaging – Effectively use data, segmentation and targeting to optimize messaging for the right channel, target audience and business goals. Understand the customer journey and leverage insights derived from data to drive audience engagement and retention. *
  • Provide campaign results with insights – Analyze campaign results and generate insights and recommendations for optimization. Use data to provide performance reporting to cross-functional teams, including areas of success and potential improvements.

Location – local only, come onsite 2-3 days a week – Tuesday/wednesday/thursday

  • Self-directed, proactive and able to define and execute projects independently (with input/buy-in from leader and key stakeholders) *
  • Strong understanding of customer segmentation, targeting, and messaging. *
  • Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills. *
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to make data-driven decisions. *
  • Experience with using marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and customer analytics. *
  • Proven ability to multitask and manage projects in a fast-paced environment. *
  • Strong project management and collaboration skills. * Ability to work well with cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority. *
  • Creative problem-solving and ability to thrive in ambiguity.

Education (if required) : *

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Commerce or Marketing related field *
  • 5+ years of business experience with marketing campaign development and cross-functional execution (technology/SaaS and/or B2B preferred) *
  • Experience in Customer/Lifecycle Marketing – including successful execution of customer engagement and retention strategies through digital tactics *
  • Proven track record of executing A/B tests, optimizing campaigns and translating data into actionable insights *
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to understand data sources, campaign logic, and campaign performance *
  • Experience engaging with creative agencies preferred but not required

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$35.00 and CA$45.00
