Measurement Engineer
Overview:
Our client is seeking a Measurement Engineer to provide technical expertise in Natural Gas Measurement. This role collaborates with Field Operations, Corporate Measurement teams, and industry standards groups to address complex measurement challenges, improve operational processes, and ensure measurement accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in industry standards groups (e.g., AGA, API, GPA) to guide standards and technologies.
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and industry peers to ensure high measurement accuracy.
- Develop and enforce operational and maintenance procedures to improve measurement practices.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on measurement for internal and external stakeholders.
- Investigate and resolve customer discrepancy claims and conduct facility audits as needed.
- Analyze data to identify and prioritize measurement quality issues and pipeline imbalances.
- Define scopes and justify business improvements for measurement infrastructure.
- Lead investigation teams to resolve pipeline measurement discrepancies.
- Proactively innovate new methods for data analysis and process improvement.
- Provide field training on measurement-related topics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field; 5+ years of natural gas measurement experience preferred.
- Expertise in industry measurement standards (AGA, API, GPA).
- Proven experience in project leadership and pipeline design/operations is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to interpret technical drawings (P&IDs, flowcharts, etc.).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is between $64.00 and $68.00
