Mechanical Engineer – Aerospace/Aviation Industry (12 month contract)
Hybrid – Toronto, ON
Our client, a leading aerospace manufacturer specializing in satellite systems, is looking to hire a Mechanical Engineer to support multiple high-impact projects. This is an excellent opportunity for engineers who are motivated, hands-on, and eager to work in a dynamic R&D and testing environment.
Key Responsibilities

Perform engineering tests using accelerometers, thermocouples, and similar tools; analyze and document results

Create and execute test plans and reports to support validation and verification activities

Assist with simple mechanical design tasks and drafting using Siemens NX

Interpret and apply GD&T and understand fits and tolerances in mechanical assemblies

Write clear and concise technical documents, including test summaries and engineering notes

Support subject matter experts by independently handling low-level analysis and documentation

Collaborate with cross-functional teams in testing, design, and product development

Flex between testing and light design work based on project demand

Support occasional shift work during test phases and maintain a strong on-site presence when required
Must-Have Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (P.Eng not required)

4–8 years of engineering experience, ideally in aerospace, aviation, automotive, or automation sectors

Strong knowledge of GD&T, fits and tolerances

Familiarity with engineering testing equipment and methodology (accelerometers, thermocouples, etc.)

Proficiency in Siemens NX; SolidWorks users will require upskilling

Excellent documentation, writing, and communication skills

Intrinsically motivated and able to work with minimal direction
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$40.00 and CA$55.00
