Job Title: Mechanical Engineer IV

Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid)
    
Estimated Duration: 12 months

Overview:
We are seeking a Facilities Design Engineer to oversee pump station facility design for capital expansion and maintenance projects. This role ensures third-party engineering work meets company and industry standards while staying on budget and schedule. The engineer will act as a key liaison between project teams, operations, and shared services to deliver safe, compliant, and cost-effective designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee third-party design deliverables for pump station facilities, ensuring compliance with regulations, codes, and corporate standards.

  • Define scope, schedule, and budget for facility design and materials.

  • Review and approve drawings, reports, and material specifications.

  • Support project execution by coordinating with Project Managers, Operations, and Construction teams to address design and constructability issues.

  • Evaluate vendor quotations and recommend equipment/material selections.

  • Incorporate lessons learned and quality improvements into future projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or related Engineering field.

  • 4+ years of relevant engineering experience.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills; able to manage multiple priorities.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with technical evaluations.

Working Conditions:

  • Office-based (80%) with field visits (20%) for scoping, procurement, and construction support.

  • Requires ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is between $72.00 and $78.00
