Metal Fabricator / Technician (X2)
Our client is a global leader in the race to commercialize clean fusion energy. Their goal is to provide zero-carbon fusion power to the grid by the early to mid-2030s.
They are currently looking for a Metal Fabricator to join their Richmond, BC team
Overview:
The Metal Fabricator will provide hands-on support to a team of engineers designing and fabricating large metal coils for the development of their plasma fusion experiments and machinery.
Responsibilities:
- Drilling / tapping holes in metal coils and parts
- Maintain shop, shop tools, and materials.
- Work while keeping personal and co-worker safety as the top priority in all operations.
- Bring experience and shop know-how to the team
Qualifications:
- Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Strong multi-disciplinary skillset with demonstrated ability to work independently and reliably
- Experience with power tools, ability to use drill press, hand router, and other industrial tools.
- Ability to lift up to 20kg
- Experience and comfort working in a fast paced research and development environment.
- Forklift experience is an asset.
- Steel Fabrication experience is an asset
- Basic Computer Literacy (Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to safely operate crane an asset, not required

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$30.00 and CA$40.00
