Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Municipal Design Technologist (CAD) with 7 -10 years of experience in municipal projects.

Overview: The ideal candidate will have a diverse background in municipal and civil design, covering multiple project types rather than specializing in just one area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technologist who thrives in a mid-sized engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) setting and enjoys seeing projects through from concept to construction.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and develop detailed design drawings, plans, and specifications for municipal infrastructure projects, including roads, water, sewer, and storm drainage systems.

Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other civil design software to create accurate and high-quality design deliverables.

Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure design accuracy and compliance with municipal and industry standards.

Assist in preparing technical reports, cost estimates, and tender documents.

Conduct site visits to support design validation, construction review, and project coordination.

Ensure that project timelines and budgets are met while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Qualifications & Experience:

5-10 years of experience in municipal and civil design within a mid-sized or smaller EPC environment.

Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other related design software such as StormCAD, WaterCAD, or InfraWorks.

Strong understanding of municipal infrastructure design, including:

Roadway and transportation networks

Water distribution and sanitary sewer systems

Stormwater management and drainage systems

Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field.

Certified as a P. Tech. (or eligibility for certification) is preferred.
