Job Title: Platform Engineer

Overview
We are seeking an Azure Platform Engineer to join a team focused on building and enabling cloud capabilities across the organization. This is not a traditional infrastructure-focused cloud engineering role. Instead, this team operates as an enablement function — creating reusable deployment frameworks, automation, and platform capabilities that allow development teams to efficiently consume cloud services.
The ideal candidate has strong Azure experience, a coding mindset, and experience building deployment automation from the ground up. This individual should be comfortable working in a fast-paced project environment with minimal oversight and contributing to platform capabilities that scale across multiple teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain reusable cloud platform capabilities within Azure
- Develop and maintain deployment automation using Terraform and GitHub Actions
- Create scalable and reusable infrastructure deployment patterns and workflows
- Partner with application and engineering teams to enable cloud adoption and usage
- Build deployment pipelines and automation frameworks that support multiple teams
- Structure and deploy Azure resources following platform standards and best practices
- Write maintainable, reusable, and clean code to support platform tooling and automation
- Contribute to cloud enablement initiatives rather than project-specific cloud implementations
- Work independently within an active project environment with minimal ramp-up time
Required Qualifications
- 4–6 years of experience in cloud engineering, platform engineering, or related roles
- Strong experience working within the Azure ecosystem
- Hands-on experience deploying and structuring Azure resources
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Strong experience building CI/CD automation using GitHub Actions
- Coding experience using TypeScript and/or Python
- Strong understanding of reusable code practices and software engineering principles
- Experience creating deployment frameworks or enablement tooling for engineering teams
- Ability to work independently and execute with limited direction
Nice to Have
- Experience building internal developer platforms or enablement tooling
- Exposure to platform engineering practices and developer experience initiatives
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud environments
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$60.00 and CA$70.00
