Role Summary
The Portfolio Enablement Manager (PEM) is accountable for enabling portfolio?level delivery excellence across Engineering by ensuring initiatives are set up for execution success through effective intake, resource orchestration, financial stewardship, and proactive risk management.
This role partners closely with portfolio VPs/AVPs, Engineering platform leaders, Delivery Program Managers, Finance, and external partners to align resources and funding to portfolio priorities, improve delivery predictability, and drive measurable business outcomes. The PEM operates at the portfolio level, focusing on governance, enablement, and orchestration rather than day?to?day squad execution. 


Primary Responsibilities
Portfolio Intake & Enablement

  • Act as the first point of contact for new work, providing portfolio?level oversight and stewardship as initiatives progress through Discovery & Design and prepare for execution readiness
  • Partner with portfolio VPs/AVPs to understand priorities, sequencing, and target outcomes
  • Provide enablement and support to Delivery Program Managers to ensure initiatives are positioned for successful delivery

Resource Planning & Orchestration

  • Serve as the single point of contact for portfolio VPs/AVPs on Engineering resource requirements
  • Build and maintain portfolio?level resource plans aligned to priorities, funding, and capacity constraints
  • Partner with Engineering practice and resource managers, as well as external partners, to identify, secure, and optimize FTE and partner resources
  • Proactively identify and address resourcing constraints, dependencies, and risks, escalating as required

Partner Management

  • Act as the portfolio point of contact into Accenture and other external partners for incremental resource needs (staff augmentation)
  • Support demand shaping, onboarding, access, and alignment of partner resources to portfolio priorities

Financial Stewardship

  • Provide stewardship of portfolio and platform budgets in partnership with platform AVPs and Finance
  • Own portfolio?level budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost allocation across initiatives and platforms
  • Support timely accruals and invoice processing, ensuring partner costs are allocated in line with approved budgets and forecasts

Delivery Governance & Risk Management

  • Track initiative progress across the portfolio using agreed metrics and tooling
  • Anticipate, identify, and manage delivery, resourcing, and financial risks; drive mitigation plans and timely escalation
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery practices, governance, and portfolio?level transparency

Skills & Experience
Financial & Portfolio Management

  • Budgeting, forecasting, accruals, invoice management, and variance analysis
  • Portfolio?level financial governance and reporting

Delivery & Scope Management

  • Establishing outcomes, MVPs, epics, stories, releases, and milestones
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies, including SAFe
  • Experience working with Scrum and Kanban delivery models
  • Product lifecycle management

Resource & Risk Management

  • Building and managing complex resource plans across internal and partner delivery models
  • Anticipating, identifying, and mitigating delivery, resourcing, and financial risks

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$81,000 and CA$125,000
