Job Title: Power Platform Specialist
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

Job Profile Summary:
The Power Platform Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and enhancing automation tools to support continuous improvement initiatives using Microsoft Power Platform. This role requires a deep understanding of Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Azure services, and Azure SQL Database to create efficient and scalable solutions tailored to meet the diverse needs of stakeholders across different business units. Additionally, the role involves fostering cross-departmental collaboration to optimize information flow, identifying opportunities for process improvements, and staying abreast of industry trends and best practices in automation.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain custom applications and automation workflows using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate, ensuring seamless connectivity between Power Platform components and other Microsoft services such as Enterprise SQL Server, Azure SQL, SharePoint, and Outlook.
- Develop and integrate solutions using Azure services, with a strong focus on leveraging Azure SQL to manage and optimize data storage and retrieval.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into scalable automation solutions.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation; work diligently with different business units and other internal teams on process and production updates and issues relevant to task completion.
- Conduct thorough testing of applications and workflows to ensure quality and reliability.
- Manage the deployment and maintenance of Power Platform and Azure-based solutions, ensuring they meet organizational standards and compliance requirements.
- Create interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to provide actionable insights and facilitate data-driven decision-making.
- Provide training and support to end-users to maximize the adoption and effective use of Power Platform and Azure solutions.
- Develop documentation and user guides to support solution implementation and usage.
- Stay informed of the latest Power Platform and Azure features and updates, recommending enhancements and optimizations as necessary.
- Aid in the functional and technical capability development of the team.
- Remain updated with relevant industry developments and market-specific best practices.
- Participate in learning and development programs to advance skills and knowledge in the Power Platform and Azure ecosystems, ensuring continuity of service and capability development.
Qualifications:
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Power Platform and related tools.
- Proven experience in designing and managing solutions using Azure services, including Azure SQL.
- 3-5 years of experience in data visualization, workflow automation, and business intelligence tools, with a strong emphasis on Azure Platform and Azure SQL.
- Track record of continuous improvement projects leveraging Power Platform and Azure

Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Basic understanding of database management and SQL is an advantage.
- Exposure to insurance and underwriting process
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$65.00 and CA$75.00
