Role: PR Manager

We’re looking for a driven and creative PR Manager to help tell that story.
As part of our client’s Canada PR team, you will work closely with local leadership, marketing, global PR colleagues and others, to build proactive campaigns that resonate locally while connecting to a global brand. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about media, technology, and storytelling, and who thrives in fast paced, high stakes environment.
The role requires a deep understanding of the media landscape in Quebec (and Canada more broadly) with the ability to communicate effectively in both official languages. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of generating results, along with extensive experience in project and issues management.
Excellent writing skills are imperative. You must be able to think and communicate clearly, formulate well-reasoned viewpoints on complex issues, and craft concise, compelling narratives that make the complex relatable and?the mundane exciting. You are a creative storyteller who is eager to learn about new technologies, industries, and real-world use cases, and who can deliver precise, high-quality work even under tight deadlines.
The role is based in Montreal and requires periodic travel.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop and execute campaigns that highlight our client’s innovations, customer and partner stories, and local investments
- Deliver clear, results-focused reports linked back to business goals
- Lead proactive media outreach and content development across owned, earned, shared, and paid media channels
- Collaborate with global PR colleagues and other client-division PR teams to maximize opportunities and drive holistic storytelling, and also to ensure communications are grounded in facts, informed by expertise, and guided by sound judgement.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to local leadership and stakeholders—identifying PR opportunities, providing counsel on issues, and helping shape the narrative in Quebec, and across Canada
- Manage local agency team to time and budget
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or a related field
- Experience in B2B and/or technology PR
- Experience in media relations and issues management
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Bilingual – English and French
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep knowledge and curiosity of media topics and trends, including technology
- Proactive, takes ownership and makes things happen
- Established media relationships and an active network of contacts, particularly in Quebec
- Experience advising and preparing senior executives for media engagements and press interactions
- Demonstrated ability to write clear, impactful PR materials, including media briefs, pitches, press releases, blogs and bylines, with a strong command of CP Style
- Collaborative by nature: Ability to build strong working relationships across teams to
- Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Proven ability to inspire, motivate and instill knowledge to agency partners
- Skilled at managing multiple projects autonomously
- Knowledge of emerging communications channels and content creators
- Proficiency or desire to upskill in AI
