Position Title: Product Designer
Location: Scarborough, ON
Duration: 8 months
Story Behind the Need
Business group: Customer Experience & Digital Channels – team supports needs to prepare design proposals for future states
Project: Client Connect – global business banking platform – contractors will be working with specific technology labs to get functionalities launched
Candidate Value Proposition:
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a high visibility top tier program for the Bank, work on a global cash management platform (1st in Canada), for a top 5 Canadian Bank.
Typical Day in Role:
Present proposals and designs to stakeholders and product owners and UX team
Help product owners and technology teams to define user flows
Define the roadmap and flows of product experience
Support the IT team when reviewing completion of the proposal
Support the lab teams who develop the product by clarifying proposals and definition of specifics in proposal design, clarifying UI rules
Produce compelling designs to illustrate concepts iteratively through sketches, site maps, conceptual diagrams, user flows, wireframes, high fidelity mock-ups and prototypes
Labs are in Chile hence would need to communicate in Spanish + English with them
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
3-4+ years’ experience as a Product Designer
2+ years’ experience in creating and implementing digital products
2+ years’ experience with Figma

Nice-To-Have Skills:
Bilingual in Spanish a strong asset – will prioritize candidates who are bilingual in Spanish at professional level
2+ years’ experience with Mural
Experience with JIRA, Confluence
4) Experience from FI/banking/e-commerce
Soft Skills Required:
- Ability to communicate designs to stakeholders and other designers
- Receive feedback with open arms and an open mind
- Cross-cultural skills and an ability to interact effectively with teams in different geographies
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in design, or related fields (or equivalent work experience)
Best VS. Average Candidate:
Ideal candidate is a strong Product Designer who is fully bilingual in Spanish/English; have worked on big projects in large organizations so they can hit the ground running. As a Product Designer, has demonstrated experience in producing compelling designs to illustrate concepts iteratively through sketches, site maps, conceptual diagrams, user flows, wireframes, high fidelity mock-ups and prototypes.
Candidate Review & Selection
1st step: Review of candidate profile + portfolio
2nd step: invite to 1st round – 30-minute interview – with Senior Manager, User Experience Design
3rd step: After interview, if candidate is selected to move through the process, they will be sent an exercise to complete in 24 hours – design exercise, request to analyze a problem and define a solution and prepare a mock-up or design idea to share
4th step: Present the exercise solutioning in a next-day interview – 30 minutes panel interview– with Senior Manager, HM and potential others

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$65.00 and CA$75.00
